Call for new Sponsors to support Green City Walks in
2010.
In order to continue to support the two charities with
money collected for the walks, we need to cover our
expenses with sponsorship support. Could you be one
of our sponsors? We need people to support the
venture with as little as £20 per month. In return, we
offer recognition of your support (if you wish it), and
free unlimited access to all of the walks for you and
your guests without the need for further donations,
as well as a monthly newsletter giving you 'behind
the scenes' information regarding how the walks are
researched and fascinating facts that we don't
manage to fit into our regular walks.
If you think you can help, please contact steve via his
email: steve@greencitywalks.com and he will advise
you on how you can ensure these walks continue
through 2010. Thankyou.
Why Green City Walks?
Well, the walks have been designed to highlight the
amazing history of London, as well as the beauty that
can be found in terms of architecture, parks and
gardens. Although one of the world's largest cities,
you can still find peace and serenity in even the
busiest districts, if you know those magical secret
places!
As recommended by 'Londontown.com', 'Time Out',
'Walk London', 'Visit London', 'artslondonnews.co.uk'
'A veritable gem on the London walking scene'
'Quite simply the most productive two hours you
could spend in London'
'Rewarding, inspirational, unique; after a Green City
Walk you'll see the City in a different light, backlit by
the ethereal glow of two thousand years of history.'
From hidden gardens and courtyards, to a Roman
villa floor still in situ beneath an ancient city church,
from the forgotten road and gateway to Old London
Bridge, to a teenage Roman girl's remains reburied
under a modern skyscraper, from secret tunnels
under the modern London Bridge, to gardens in the
sky hidden from public view, these walks will show
you the real London.
Steve, your guide for these walks, has worked and
studied in London for 28 years, and he has spent
much of his spare time seeking out those secret
spots, and he will share this knowledge throughout
these guided walks.
There is no need to book - just meet at the
appointed time and place.
Each walk costs £5 per person with proceeds to
'Cancer Research UK' and 'Oxfam'.
